Rust Engineer
Fusion Engineering is looking to add a Rust Engineer to the team starting as soon as possible.
What we do
At Fusion Engineering, we work on the forefront of flight control technology. Our company was founded in 2018 with the vision to make drone flight so safe that it can become part of our everyday lives. To that end we make innovative flight control systems that we market to the professional commercial drone market.
Your job
As a Rust Engineer at Fusion, you will work together with other software and control engineers on diverse parts of our technology stack, centred on Rust and Linux. You will:
- Build services to communicate with the outside world in different protocols.
- Collaborate with control engineers to design and implement control algorithms.
- Evolve internal libraries, CLI and GUI tools.

What we ask of you:
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- Demonstrated an interest in drones and UAV systems.
- Have used Rust in production environments.
- Can build network services in async Rust.
- Capable of Low-level Linux programming.
- Knowledge of embedded programming is a plus.
- Able to work on-site in Delft or Katwijk at least 2 days per week.
